Greetings,

Just a note to remind you of our October retiree meeting.
The date of the meeting is October 12nd, at 11 AM. Our meeting place is now the Fort Myers Event Center, 1900 Park Meadows Dr., Fort Myers Florida 33907. This meeting will feature as a speaker the CEO of the Lee County Health Department.

Also, I would like to remind you that at our November meeting, November 9th, we will hold an election for all officers of our retiree chapter.

We are starting to plan our Christmas party to be held on December 14 at our normal meeting place. I have been in contact with the Children's Hospital that normally picks up the gifts for the children, and this year we will be able to contribute the gifts as usual. The Christmas dinner will be five dollars each as usual. The dinner is limited to the member and spouse only.

So, as you can see, things are popping.

See you at the October membership meeting.

In solidarity,
Myron Paris
Chairperson

UAW Made

Across the land, UAW members build cars, vans, and trucks. But did you know that in a factory in Michigan, UAW members also build houses? Or that in a plant in New York, UAW members prepare and package sugar. Or that in Ontario, UAW members make hockey sticks?

All UAW members should look over this guide to UAW consumer products before we shop (for just the vehicle guide, click here). Every time we buy a UAW-made product, we help preserve the jobs of our brothers and sisters.
